Hobsons provides membership services for young people to receive information about jobs and courses in their chosen areas of interest anywhere in the world. As such we have been growing a database of members which now measures nearly 2 million records globally.

We have worked with Riverhall since 1998 to develop our database and accompanying software. Specifically Riverhall have delivered:

1. A normalised database structure allowing efficient storage of data and accurate analysis;

2. A web-based online search facility to allow real-time data counts by salespeople globally;

3. An XML-based system by which data collected by our overseas offices can be captured in a uniform way and uploaded to the central database;

4. A design which allows Hobsons and other nominated partners real-time access to the central database via a VPN;

5. Software allowing Hobsons to set up web-based registration forms for our websites through which visitors can register directly, populating our central database, again in real time.

6. A communication tool to generate and send bespoke HTML ezines (electronic newsletters) to members with content dictated by information stored on them in the database;

7. A mail managing program to sort and action email replies from our members, specifically unsubscribes and undeliverables;

8. A similar communication system to allow Hobsons to communicate with our clients and potential clients.

Furthermore, Riverhall host a number of our databases and perform standard maintenance on our behalf.
